This unusual blanket is crocheted with a relief pattern of single crochets. The work is time-consuming and complex, but the result is a creative product - a real Garden of Eden with trees and birds.

Dimensions: 112 x 142 cm.
You will need: 1300 g of acrylic wool yarn (the description recommends 80% acrylic, 20% wool 210 m long in 100 g; hooks No. 5 and No. 6; markers; a needle for yarn.

15 pet. + 14 rows = 10 cm. Crochet pattern # 6 for a blanket. If your pattern is different, the quilt size and yarn count will be different. Try changing the hook number up or down to get the size you want, depending on which way your pattern differs.

Notes:

1. Front embossed crochet stitches are knitted in odd rows (Front side - hereinafter LS), purl embossed crochet stitches - in even rows (Back side - IS).
2. Always leave stitches untied behind the knit stitches (with one and two crochets) and in front of the purl stitches (with one and two crochets).
3. In the diagram, the front rows are marked in red, the back rows - in black. Persons. the rows on the diagram are knitted from right to left, purl from left to right.

Every novice needlewoman wants to master knitting. Knitting patterns are easy if you start from the basics, so start mastering needlework from the simplest patterns, and then feel free to move on to more complex and interesting options. We have collected many interesting ideas for you, ranging from the simplest ones.

Simple patterns from front and back loops with pictures

Simple beautiful sweaters, mittens, blouses, socks, hats, cardigans, tunics, pullovers and vests are knitted with these simple patterns that even lazy needlewomen can handle. And jacquard patterns in combination with such light ones can decorate absolutely any thing.

Stockinet

The pattern is loose and stretched on both sides. To complete the sample, an even number of loops are recruited onto the knitting needles.

  • Further Thus, the front loop lying on the knitting needle is knitted with the purl, and the purl with the front one.

Hole technique

For a pattern sample, the number of loops, a multiple of 12, plus 2 loops for the symmetry of the pattern, plus 2 edge loops, are typed on the knitting needles.

  • 1 row: * yarn, knit 2 loops together with the front for the back walls (each loop is pre-turned), 10 front *, yarn, 2 loops together, knit the front for the back walls;
  • 2 row and all even rows knit purl;
    3, 5, 7, 9 rows: knit all loops;

  • 5 row: * 6 purl, 6 facial *, 6 purl;
  • 11 row: * 6 facial, 6 purl *, 6 facial.
  • Row 13 is knitted as 1 row and so on.

Simple number 1

1 row: * 4 facial, 1 purl *; For a pattern sample, the number of loops, a multiple of 5 plus 2 edge loops, is typed on the knitting needles.

  • 2 row and all purl rows are knitted with purl loops;
  • 3 row: * 1 purl, 4 facial *;
  • 5 row: * 1 front, 1 purl, 3 front *;

  • 9 row: * 3 front, 1 purl, 1 front *.

Simple number 2

Dense fine knit pattern, elastic, weakly stretched both along and across. It resembles fabric in texture, so it could also be attributed to fabric patterns. For the sample, an even number of loops are recruited onto the knitting needles.

  • 1 row: * 1 front, 1 purl *;
  • 3 row: * 1 purl, 1 front *;

Narrow colored rhombuses

Knit and purl stitches in this simple pattern. The pattern is double-sided, it looks the same from the front and the wrong side. For a pattern sample, the number of loops is selected in multiples of 8, plus two edge loops.

  • 1 row: * 4 purl, 4 facial *;
  • 2nd row: * 3 purl, 4 facial, 1 purl *;

  • 10 row: * 4 knit, 4 purl *.

The pattern is repeated from the first row.

Rubber bands

There are a huge number of rubber bands that have been invented by the best craftsmen.

Simple elastic band 1 × 1

An even number of loops are collected for the sample. The elastic is knitted with the front and back of the first (main) method. The first row is knitted by alternating the front and back loops, then the knitting is turned over and the loops are knitted as they lie on the knitting needle - front and back.

The gum record with the rapport designation can be represented as follows:

  • 1 row: * 1 front, 1 purl *;
  • 2nd row: * 1 purl, 1 front *.

Simple elastic 3 × 2

For the sample, the number of loops, which is a multiple of 5, plus 2 edge loops, is cast on the knitting needles. The first row is knitted like this: three facial, two purl. Then the knitting is turned over and the loops are knitted as they lie on the knitting needle: facial, purl, purl.

  • 1 row: * 3 front, 2 purl *;
  • 2nd row: * K2, purl 3 *.

You can create your own elastic by alternating the paths of the knit and purl stitches in different ways.

Nakid. With the end of the right knitting needle, grab the working thread from below from right to left, towards you. The yarn is made to form an openwork.
  • 1 row: * yarn (in front of the first loop), remove 1 loop, knit 2 loops together with the front one, picking up the loops in front *; The pattern is two-sided, it is used for knitting hats, scarves and warm sportswear. The English gum is quite loose and voluminous, stretches well. To knit a pattern on the knitting needles, the number of loops is recruited, divisible by three.
  • Row 2 and all subsequent rows are knitted as the first, but together they knit not two loops, but a pair of crochet stitches.

Convex elastic 2 x 2

Convex elastic bands look good on bulky items. With circular knitting needles, you can knit an original snood collar, as in the Missoni collection. Seamless scarves are especially popular right now.

Shawl lace for a summer dress

When knitting, the technique of knitting two loops together with the front one with a tilt to the left is used by the broaching method. They do it like this: the first loop of the two is removed as the front loop, the next loop (yarn) is knitted with the front loop and the resulting loop is pulled through the first.

To form a side edge in this pattern, it is better to knit the first edge loop of the row with the front one behind the back wall, and the last edge loop - the front one for the front wall, then you get a beautiful knotted edge. An even number of loops are collected for the sample.

  • 1 row: * yarn over, knit two loops together with a tilt to the left *.
  • The rest of the rows are knitted in the same way as the first.

Looped over. With the end of the left knitting needle, grab a loop (or yarn) and pull the next two loops into it.

For knitting the sample, the number of loops is recruited, a multiple of 5 plus 2 loops for the symmetry of the pattern, plus 2 edge loops.

  • 1 row: * 2 purl, 3 facial *, 2 purl;
  • 2nd row: 2 front, * 3 purl, 2 front *;

Symbols of loops and how to perform them for beginners

If you still could not figure out the diagrams and descriptions, video tutorials on YouTube, which you can watch for free, will definitely help you.

It turns out Aran (Ir. Oileáin Árann, English Aran Islands) is an archipelago of three small islets (Inishmore, Inishman, Inishir), located off the west coast of Ireland. Sometimes, for convenience, they are called so - collectively arans. It was here, on the cold rocky shores, far from civilization, that an unusual style of knitting was born, which at the beginning of the 20th century conquered the whole of Ireland, and then the whole world.
The inhabitants of the islands have fished and raised sheep from time immemorial. And in order to protect men going out to sea and endangering their lives, wives and mothers knitted them a protective clothing made of homemade wool - a “fisherman's sweater”. It was decorated with patterns filled with symbolic meaning and protecting sailors from the terrible elements.
The main distinguishing feature of these patterns is braids of various thicknesses and shapes, which, intertwining with each other, formed more complex patterns and paths. The braids themselves resembled strong sea ropes in shape, it was believed that they served as a wish for good luck at sea (after all, the success of sailing often depends on the reliability of the ropes and knots).
Another popular pattern - nets and rhombuses - symbolized fishing nets and encouraged a rich catch.
Often, diamonds and nets were filled with small patterns resembling moss, which grows in abundance on the Aran rocks, or algae floating in small coves and bays, which were used to fertilize the soil. All this for the inhabitants of the islands personified a generous harvest, and therefore - wealth and prosperity. And, of course, the return of the sailors home.
Zigzags, broken lines and chains - symbolize water streams and paths on rocky cliffs, what for sailors was personified with their native land and wives waiting for them at home, and the tree of life, a complex pattern of converging and diverging braids - symbolized the unity and prosperity of the clan.

By the way, each clan had its own distinctive sweater pattern. According to legend, these patterns on sweaters were often used to identify the bodies of dead fishermen, thrown ashore by the waves. As you can see, nature itself often prompted the craftswomen to knit patterns. And not only nature - knitted motifs closely resemble ancient stone ornaments, decorative elements used to decorate churches and dwellings, ancient symbols.

Is it any wonder that the Arans became an integral part of the culture of the inhabitants of the islands, an organic part of life and history. For a long time, the Arans remained exclusively a local pattern. They gained fame in difficult years for Ireland - at the beginning of the 20th century due to a poor harvest, many families, in order not to starve to death, began to engage in needlework - they knitted products not only for home, but also for sale. In addition, it was in this year that the government decided to develop national crafts (and rural regions), and in 1914 knitters' schools were opened. And since the 1930s, Aran sweaters began to be sold in Dublin (in the Country shop), then whole villages appeared, the main business of which was just knitting sweaters and jackets with clothes with Aran. Gradually, spectacular patterns became popular throughout Europe, and in the 40s the first publications of Aran patterns appeared, which were enthusiastically received by needlewomen.

So the ancient handicraft gradually conquered the whole world, gradually losing its sacred meaning. But who knows, maybe this cunning weave of loops, embodied in sweaters and scarves, is still able to protect their owners and adversity and bestow happiness and prosperity?
