Master Class

We made this craft especially for the school. From four paper sleeves and one scotch tape, we have built a wonderful stationery stand. But first things first.

We start by preparing the materials. So, we needed:

• four toilet paper rolls;
• one sleeve from a wide adhesive tape;
• double sided tape;
• rope;
• multi-colored threads;
• colored paper;
• thick cardboard;
• glue gun (other strong glue can also be used).

We also used PVA glue, paints and brushes in our work, but we forgot to photograph them.

To begin with, we will make the bottoms of the bushings from thick cardboard. We apply the sleeves to the cardboard and circle them. The circles turn out. We finish drawing rays to the circles.

And cut out along the rays. We get parts that look like gears or like suns.

Now we bend these rays up.

Lubricate the beams of the parts with glue and insert the bottoms inside the bushings.

Here are the bottoms and are ready.

Now we will deal with the interior decoration of our sleeve cups. First, we decided to paste over them with colored paper. And they did just that with a wide glass.

But with narrow cups, everything turned out to be not so simple. It is inconvenient to paste over them from the inside. Therefore, it was decided to use paints.

It was much easier that way.

This is how the craft looks at this stage.

We proceed to the exterior decoration. We glue the wide sleeve with double-sided tape.

And now we begin to wind the rope around the tape in a circle.

We reel up to the very top. We cut off the excess.

We do the same with the remaining four bushings. Only we wrap them not with a rope, but with woolen threads of different colors.

It remains only to connect our tabletop device into a single whole. To do this, from thick cardboard, we took a box from a toy car, cut out a common bottom. It should repeat the shape of the future craft.

And all that remains is to glue our cups to the bottom. You can use a glue gun or super glue for this. The craft is ready!

We could decorate our desk stationery with buttons, ribbons or something else. But to us it seemed pretty pretty even without decoration.
