The project "a little oak is hidden in a golden ball". An oak tree is hidden in a golden ball Answer to a riddle in a golden ball

Children love to make riddles. And what glee can be when they guess! They are pleased with their own resourcefulness and ingenuity. In addition, coming to the answer, the baby develops logic and imagination. With them, he gradually enters into the cultural heritage of his homeland.

What is a mystery among the peoples of the world

A riddle is almost always a metaphor. She develops not only logic, but also poetic imagination. Example: Russian riddle "A golden ball hid in a small oak tree. What is it?" This folklore genre originated long ago and developed among all the peoples of the world. Her poetic image is slightly reminiscent of how the answer should turn out. The riddle has a very strong figurative language. This is just a simple exercise for the mind today. In ancient times it was used to describe natural phenomena or to explain them, for example: "An oak is hidden in a golden ball."

Riddles as a competition

Competitions in riddles were very common in folk epics. Sometimes wise girls ask a good fellow with difficult questions in order to confuse him, and so that he shows how sharp his mind is, and he can cope with any, not only physical, obstacle. This is how the bride shows the groom that she is not in the least stupid than him. Guessing leads to the fulfillment of desires, helps to avoid danger.

Walk in the park or forest

Walking with a child, you can offer him a riddle, when the object itself, which lies under his feet, will quickly allow the child to solve it: a golden ball hid in a small oak tree. What is it? If he does not immediately find a suitable answer, you can ask leading questions.

How to lead a toddler to an answer

He should be offered to collect carved oak leaves, under them he will see acorns. After that, it is necessary that he carefully examine the golden brown acorn, which he may not have paid attention to before. The acorn can be oval, which is more common, or it can be rounded. This happens less often. But it's better to find a few acorns and twirl them in your hands, looking carefully. A round acorn looks a bit like a small ball. Then you can repeat again: “A golden ball hid in a small oak tree. What is it?". Here the kid will have to compare which ball of thread he saw and which one he is holding now in his pens. Maybe not right away, but he will figure out what the answer to the question should be: “A golden ball hid in an oak tree. What is it?". And if he does not understand, then ask: "What is the head of the golden acorn hidden under?" “Under the hat,” the baby answers. So we have made some progress towards solving the mystery that every child loves. Holding an acorn in his hands, he begins to examine it in detail. It is important that he is not distracted. After all, a small child quickly switches his attention.

What to ask next

"What do you think will grow out of him?" Here the kid can think. After all, he had never seen a plant grow from a seed. You can show him the sunflower seed, taking it with you in advance, and tell how the sunflower or cucumber seed grows. This he will be able to understand. It should be suggested that two slices are hidden under the acorn peel. You can consider them. Then the kid will logically compare them with the seeds of smaller plants and guess that a mighty oak will then grow out of large slices. So he will understand that an oak is hidden in a golden ball. The riddle has been solved.

In a playful way, you can always develop your child, and he will be happy to wait for new questions.

Problem: Is it possible to grow an oak from an acorn at home?

Relevance of the problem: Trees are the green garment of our planet. But every year there are less and less of them. Many trees die in fires, during deforestation, and many trees dry up. So we have very few trees left near the kindergarten. We have already planted a few shrubs, but I would also like to have larger trees. You can hide under them both from the hot rays of the sun and from a light rain. But where to get seedlings for planting? And we decided to try to grow them ourselves.

Target: grow oak seedlings at home.

Project objectives:

Learn how an oak grows from an acorn

    What are oaks

What it takes to grow a tree

    Learn to grow trees

To cultivate in oneself a respectful attitude towards nature, towards the native land.

“If every man on a piece of his land did everything,

what he can, how beautiful our Earth would be ”.

A.P. Chekhov

Oak is one of the main forest-forming species of the Volgograd region; more than 190 thousand oak trees grow in the region.

In our Uryupinsky district there is a natural monument “Shemyakinskaya Dacha” - a valuable forest with 150-400-year-old oaks.

As a bear among animals is considered a symbol of strength and wisdom, so an oak is rightfully considered the king among trees, because the age of an individual tree can reach several hundred years, and its trunk cannot be grasped even by an adult.

Oak is a forest centenarian. There are trees that have lived for two thousand years. Oak is a tenacious tree. The powerful oak root goes deep into the ground, securely like an anchor, keeping the trunk upright and supplying the tree with moisture and nutrients. No wonder the people said: "Hold on to the oak - the oak is deep in the ground." It happened that hordes of caterpillars attacked a tree, completely destroying the leaves. Of course, another tree would have died long ago, but the oak survived. In the same summer, new leaves appeared on it. The oak will not die even when the woodcutters cut down the tree, leaving only one stump. Time will pass, and young shoots with large leaves will stretch to the sun from the stump. This will wake up dormant kidneys that have been waiting for their time for decades. One, the strongest branch will become a new trunk in the future.

In ancient times, almost half of the forests of Europe were oak forests, but now oak forests are about 3% of all forests in Europe. By cutting down oaks, people ruin their future and their health. One 50-year-old oak purifies the air as much as a thousand young trees.

But how does such a mighty tree grow from a small acorn? This is what we decided to trace. We decided to grow an oak from an acorn.

    Acquaintance with the oak.

1.1. Appearance.

Oak is a large, beautiful, powerful deciduous tree of the beech family, reaching 40-50 m in height and 2 m in diameter.

The oak has strong, large roots that go deep into the ground and branch widely to the sides. Therefore, he is firmly held in the ground and no storm will bring him down.

The branches of the old oak are thick, they spread far to the sides. The crown is thick. There is a lot of shade under the oak tree.

Leaves are simple, serrated. They are easy to recognize. The leaf blade of the oak is large, oblong, with deep grooves. Leaves are attached to the branches with short petioles.

In the spring it blooms late, one of the last among our trees. The oak blooms in April - May, when it still has very small leaves. Flowers are small and inconspicuous, form catkins. After flowering, a small cup-shaped wrapper first grows, and then the fruit itself - an acorn. Acorns that have fallen in the forest in late autumn hibernate in a damp bed of leaves under a thick layer of snow, which protects them from both drying out and frost.

Oak is a long-lived tree, under favorable conditions it can live on average from 500 to 1500 years. Oak grows slowly, at first (up to 80 years) - stronger in height, later - in breadth. The most intensive growth is observed in the period from 5 to 20 years of plant life. Develops a very powerful and highly branched root system.

The tree grows well from a stump. Loves light. Some species tolerate drought well. Begins to bear fruit at the age of 15-60, in open places it is more active than in plantations. Propagated mainly by acorns. For sowing, acorns collected in the same year are used, as they quickly lose their germination.

Oaks grow well where there is a lot of light. It grows well when surrounded by other trees. Foresters say: "Oak grows well in a fur coat, but with an open head." The "open head" is the top of the oak. The tree loves to be illuminated by the sun at its top. An oak needs to be surrounded by shrubs and short trees. This is his "fur coat". They create a lateral shadow for the oak and thus accelerate its growth in height.

1.2. Growing places.

Oak grows in mixed deciduous forests. Distributed in the middle and southern zones of the European part of Russia to the Urals, in the Ciscaucasia. Oak hardly tolerates cold and humid climates, while in the south it develops better.

Growing places depend on the type of oak. SoEnglish oak likes to grow where wet soil and mixed forests. It rises in high latitudes to the taiga subzone. The northern boundary of growth runs along the line St. Petersburg - South Ural. English oak grows in the foothills of the Crimea and the Caucasus. Its share in the oak forests of Russia and neighboring countries accounts for about 95%.

Highlands and hills preferrock oak ... In the Amur countries, there isMongolian oak ... In Central Europe, up to twenty species of oak trees grow, but in South America and Australia there are none at all.

.Many species of this genus belong to the so-called, that is, equipped withleathery and remaining on the plant for several years. In others, the leaves fall off annually or, when dry, remain on the tree and gradually decay. Some - most evergreens - have whole leaves, others lobed.

Oak is the most popular tree among insects. One single oak tree can provide food, protection and shelter for up to 284 species of insects! A mature tree can produce up to 50,000 acorns per year.

Oak evaporates more than 100 tons of water during the warm season, which is 225 times its own weight.

1. 3. Types of oak.

Different types of oak are common in temperate and warm countries; in hot countries - in the mountains. In the middle there are up to 20 types of them.

Just look how many acorns there are on oaks this year! Their harvest changes everything in the life of the forest. Each acorn can become a new oak in the future. But this is a very long way: from germination to maturation. And everywhere, at all stages of his life, amazing seeds lie in wait for various trials and dangers.

Under almost every oak tree, you will surely find traces of our most enthusiastic forest plowman - the wild boar. This beast is omnivorous: it eats everything that it finds in the forest floor - from snails and worms to seeds, fruits and all kinds of roots. But if acorns are born, you will not be able to pull the boars out of the oak forest by any force. Painfully delicious delicacy.
In general, acorns are very moody. As soon as they lose even a small part of the water, they die. Acorns are sensitive to frost, and easily rot in warmth. And only acorns that have fallen in the forest in late autumn and overwintered in a wet litter of leaves under a thick layer of snow feel comfortable.

Almost all the contents of an oak seed is the rudiment of a future plant - an embryo. The embryo is unusual: it contains a lot of starch. This is a supply of food for a young oak tree that will emerge from it, or ... for a young boar that will find this acorn before germination. As someone is lucky.

Oak belongs to the beech family, its closest relatives are beech and chestnut. There are over 600 species of oak trees alone in the world. They are common in Europe, North America, Central and Southeast Asia. In the CIS countries, 20 species of oak grow, and the most widespread of them is the common or English oak. Despite the fact that it grows in different countries, oak is a demanding tree. He needs warmth, he cannot stand the harsh conditions of the taiga regions. Prefers fertile soil. You will not find it on sand dunes and swampy soils.

An open-plan oak is never tall. The crown of such a tree is very wide and starts almost from the ground itself. His brother in the forest looks completely different: tall, slender, the crown is narrow, compressed from the sides and starts at a rather high height. All this is a consequence of the competition for light: when trees are close to each other, they are strongly stretched upward.

By the end of summer, under the canopy of oak forests, the fruits of the lily of the valley are the brightest and most noticeable. You've probably seen these orange pea-sized berries. Beautiful, especially in the sun, but not edible. And even poisonous! So I do not advise you to try. Although they taste a little sweet.

Acorns are spreading ... with the help of wings. But an acorn has no wings, you say, and you will be absolutely right. But the jay has them. Jay loves acorns. And, being a smart and quick-witted bird, it not only eats them in the fall, but also stores them for future use! In September - October, the jays organize special flights to the oaks that are fruitful for acorns. 300 flights per day. And each time - one acorn in its beak.

They place the collected fruits in special hiding places. These can be depressions in the soil, niches under the roots of trees, voids in stumps and turned-ups, abandoned burrows. Fodder reserves of jays reach four kilograms. The birds will not be able to find all the hidden food in winter, so a young sprout appears completely unexpectedly in a completely dustless place, which in centuries will turn into a mighty giant. And this is the fault of the jay! Or rather, not wine, but merit!
